DESCRIPTION:
A rapid setting radiopaque Zinc Oxide /
Eugenol resin bonded Material. This product is ideal for sensitive activity,
good thermal and chemical insulation. It is a strong base for amalgam
condensation and higher initial
resistance to fracture due to resin bonding.
INDICATIONS
FOR USE:
Used for lining under non-resin filling
materials.
Used as a temporary filling material and
cement.
Used as a temporary seal.
DIRECTIONS
FOR USE:
Place the required amounts of powder and
liquid a short distance apart on a clean, smooth glass slab.
Using a suitable spatula, progressively
incorporate portions of powder into the liquid, spatulating thoroughly after
each addition, until a cohesive consistency is reached.
Mixing time: 1-1½ minutes (according to
the size of mix).
Place sufficient of the mix in to the
dried cavity and gently pat into position: to prevent the
instrument sticking during this
placement, periodically dip the end of the instrument into the
surplus dry powder on the mixing slab, or
use a small pellet of cotton wool dampened in water and hold in a pair of
pointed tweezers.
DPI Kalzinol is hydraulic, and moisture
seepage or saliva will not affect its hardening.
The toughness and adhesive quality of the
set DPI Kalzinol provides for easy and smooth carving with a sharp cutting
instrument.
When sufficiently hardened-approximately
3 minutes after placement-the margins should be
cleared and the cavity dried. The final
restoration may then be inserted.
